This training is designed to develop a strong foundation for evaluating the effectiveness and integrity of management and technical systems. It explains the purpose of internal audits beyond compliance, emphasizing their role in identifying risks, improving processes, and supporting continual improvement within laboratories and organizations operating under ISO/IEC 17025.
Participants will gain a thorough understanding of ISO 19011 principles, including auditor competence, ethics, impartiality, and evidence-based auditing. The training covers audit program planning, scope definition, risk-based audit scheduling, and preparation of effective audit checklists that address both management system and technical requirements in a structured and meaningful way.
The course places strong emphasis on practical audit execution, including conducting opening and closing meetings, interviewing auditees, observing activities, and collecting objective evidence. Participants will learn how to evaluate conformity, recognize systemic weaknesses, and differentiate between observations, nonconformities, and opportunities for improvement.
In addition, the training focuses on writing clear, factual, and value-added audit findings that accurately reflect evidence and standard requirements. Participants will learn how to report results professionally, communicate findings constructively, and ensure that audit outcomes support informed management decisions.
By the end of the training, participants will be equipped to plan and conduct confident, impartial, and effective internal audits that strengthen compliance, enhance technical competence, and contribute to a culture of transparency and continual improvement in line with ISO 19011 guidelines.
